Test and Evaluation Capability

Test and Evaluation solutions for large, complex and safety critical projects.

BUSINESS NEED

The Department of Defence engaged Noventus to provide Test and Evaluation (T&E) support for a range of projects that were still in the concept and capability definition phase.

NOVENTUS SOLUTION

Noventus T&E specialists created Early Test Plans (ETPs) and Test Concept Documents (TCDs) to consider T&E requirements for all project options for a number of  Government Programs. Noventus outlined the concept for T&E Plans and Strategy to be executed prior to the industry solicitations. These activities provided the basis for identifying:

  • Critical issues that need to be resolved through the use of T&E;
  • Major project risks that need to be mitigated or reduced through the application of T&E;
  • A link between the results of T&E and key milestone decisions; and
  • Associated funding and resource requirements.

Outcome

Noventus developed ETPs which built upon the TCDs. The ETP structure was aligned with the TEMP, required for detailed test planning during the Acquisition Phase. This mitigated risk and also allowed for a more streamlined and coordinated approach to T&E planning.

Multi-Level Testing for Prime Systems Integrators

Our clients often require access to a mature and flexible Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Validation and Verification (V&V) capabilities to achieve their project acceptance requirements.

The skill sets that our clients need are often broad and eclectic which requires staff with an unusual mix of skills, experience and qualifications. Our clients engage Noventus because of our track record in rapidly providing T&E and V&V solutions for complex, large scale, highly classified and regulated environments.

Noventus has a long history of providing T&E services, from system to unit level, from concept through to delivery. Noventus T&E Engineers have created Test Concept Documents (TCDs), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Early Test Plans (ETPs) as well as V&V Plans to guide the development, informal and formal testing regimes of some major Government projects.
